Actress Nivedita Saraf’s driver has been beaten in a minor altercation. The incident took place near JVPD junction in Juhu, Mumbai. She was returning home from Vile Parle on Sunday night.
At around 10.30 pm, a car hit Nivedita Saraf’s car near JVPD signal. This time Saraf’s driver Ajay Thakur (38) did any damage to the vehicle, as he got down to see this, the car driver started abusing Ajay. Nivedita said in the complaint that he also used abusive language.
“The assailant threatened to lower the car window too,” he said. When Ajay finally told the police to call, he ran away. While fleeing, he also insulted one of the best drivers,” he said. The incident has been reported to Juhu police station. Following this complaint, Juhu police has sought details of the accused’s Nashik registered vehicle. They are also investigating the CCTV footage.
Police have registered a case against the assailant and are investigating the matter further. The vehicle number MH-15-BD-9945 has been registered in Nashik and we are investigating the owner, said senior police officer Sudhakar Shirsat while talking to Times Office India.
