Another shocking case has come to light from Thane, Maharashtra. In Bhayandar township here, a man indignantly killed his 40-year-old wife for adding too much salt to breakfast. The incident took place on Friday in the Phatak Road area of Bhayandar East. Police said on Saturday that the accused has been apprehended late night after the incident. Let us tell you that a day earlier in Thane itself, a father-in-law shot his daughter-in-law for not providing tea with breakfast.
An official of Mira Bhayander-Vasai Virar Police Commissionerate said that the accused has been identified as 46-year-old Nilesh Ghagh. She was given khichdi for breakfast and there was more salt in it. In the dispute that followed, the accused strangled his wife Nirmala to death with a cloth at around 9.30 am.
The neighbors informed the police about the murder. After this, the police reached the spot and sent the body of the woman to the government hospital for post-mortem. A case under section 302 (murder) of the IPC has been registered against the accused at Navghar police station, Bhayandar. He has confessed his crime.
The accused said that often he used to quarrel with his wife over small matters. It is worth noting that a similar incident took place on Thursday where the daughter-in-law was allegedly shot dead by the angry father-in-law for not serving breakfast along with tea on time. The 42-year-old woman, a resident of Rabodi area, sustained bullet injury in the stomach and died during treatment at a private hospital on Friday morning, police said.
