In yet another shocking incident, the body of Bengali model-turned-actress Bidisha De Majumdar was found hanging at her flat in Kolkata’s Nagerbazar area. The 21-year-old actress has been living in a rented apartment for the past four months with her parents.
The body of the deceased actress was recovered from her apartment on Wednesday evening. The body was recovered after police entered her house by breaking the main door.
A probe has been initiated to identify whether it is murder or suicide. Cops questioned Bidisha’s close acquaintances, family members and friends to gather information about her. The body of the deceased has been sent to RG Kar hospital for autopsy.
According to reports Bidisha had a boyfriend named Anubhab Bera. Bidisha’s friends claimed that she was reportedly unhappy in the relationship and she was in depression.
A suicide note has been reportedly found in the flat of the actress and further probe is on.
In 2021, Bidisha De Majumdar made her screen debut in Anirbed Chattopadhyay’s short film Bhaar- The Clown. Debraj Mukherjee, a well-known actor, played a major role in the film.
