A young woman who allegedly raped Shiv Sena leader Raghunath Kuchik in Pune today accused BJP leader Chitra Wagh of putting pressure on her. So this case is likely to take a different turn. After the allegations made by the young woman, BJP leader Chitra Wagh held a press conference and denied all the allegations.
Chitra Wagh said that many experiences come while working in politics and sociology. Raghunath Kuchik raped a girl and had an abortion. I told the victim to call me if she needed to. A girl who fights alone and her loneliness is exploited by some people. I decided to fight with her. I got all the information from that girl. So I decided that what I really needed to do was learn how to do it right.
When the victim girl was fighting alone, no party came to her aid. When the victim girl came to me with all her grievances, I helped her as much as I could. And today I am being accused. After the victim’s allegations, NCP leader Vidya Chavan accused Chitra Wagh of blackmailing the girl. Replying to Vidya Chavan’s allegations, Chitra Wagh said that Vidya Chavan should speak with restraint. I don’t know what compulsion the victim girl is talking about. However, when injustice was done to the girl, no one came to her aid. Everyone woke up when Chitra Wagh ran to her aid. However, if anyone thinks that by doing all this you are closing my voice by doing all this, it will not happen. To this day, some people have attacked my home, but I have not stopped fighting against injustice.
Speaking further, Chitra Wagh said that all the police should investigate what the victim girl has said. If there was someone else in my place, would they have tried to get justice for the victim? The victim girl sent me a screenshot of a letter. And told all sorts of facts about what had happened to her. However, today, after this girl accused me, the state system is ready. That girl was in contact with me till today. So I can understand her mood. I tried to do what I could for her.
So the systems should bring out the truth whatever it is, I am ready to give all the evidence. The victim girl had come to finish herself at the Chief Minister’s Varsha bungalow. I had told all this to Mumbai Police, Law and Order Joint Commissioner Vishwas Nangre Patil at that time.
However, these types of problems continue to occur. But, I will not give up judging anyone. Chitra Wagh will always be with the victim girl. However, the one who commits atrocities is the culprit but the one who suffers is equally the culprit, said Chitra Wagh.
