Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s accomplice Salim Fruit has been arrested by the NIA. Earlier, Frut had been arrested by the ED. It is learned that action has been taken in 20 places in Mumbai. They include Chhota Shakeel, Javed Chikna, Tiger Menon, Iqbal Mirchi, Dawood’s sister Hasina Parkar and people related to his relatives. Salim Fruit, a close associate of Dawood’s gang, has been arrested. NI has raided Salim’s house.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has launched a major crackdown on people close to Dawood Ibrahim. The actions are related to David’s sharp shooter, smuggler, D-Company’s real estate manager. Apart from this, raids have also been carried out on several air operators.
The NIA has conducted raids at 20 places in Borivali, Santacruz, Bandra, Nagpada, Goregaon and Paral. According to the Home Ministry, the NIA had registered a case against Dawood Ibrahim, D Company, which is under investigation and raid.
Salim Fruit is the brother-in-law of little Shakeel. Shakeel runs a ransom racket through his goons. Salim Fruit was deported to India from the UAE in 2006 and has been in jail since 2010. Apart from Salim Fruit, Dawood Ibrahim’s brother-in-law Saud Yusuf Tungekar, Dawood’s younger brother Iqbal Kaskar’s partner Khalid Usman Sheikh and Dawood’s late sister Hasina Parkar’s son Alishan Parkar can also be questioned.
