Diesel prices hiked once again in Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai

MUMBAI: Diesel prices were hiked for a second time this week, with the retail rate going up in Mumbai to Rs 96.68 after a 27 paise hike on Sunday.

The price of the fuel in Thane and Navi Mumbai has gone up to Rs 96.81 per litre. The highest price of diesel in Maharashtra is now at Amravati at Rs 98.22 per litre on Sunday.

It may be recalled that after a lull for few weeks, diesel price had risen across the state on Friday, with retail price at Mumbai pumps being hiked to Rs 96.41 per litre on that day. Similarly, price of diesel was hiked to Rs 96.54 in Thane and Navi Mumbai on Friday.

Meanwhile, the price of petrol continued to remain unchanged in the city. A litre of petrol now costs Rs 107.26 in Mumbai.
