The family of former home minister Anil Deshmukh has so far been targeted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). NCP’s Sharad Pawar raised the question, “Have you ever seen so many raids on a single person and his family?” Pawar also mentioned that the ED has so far raided Anil Deshmukh’s family 50 times, the CBI 40 times and the Income Tax Department 20 times.

He also said that on the advice of Mamata Banerjee, the Opposition would now sit together and work out a strategy against the actions of the Central Investigation Agency. He was speaking at an event in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Sharad Pawar also commented on a letter sent by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to non-BJP chief ministers and senior opposition leaders.

Mamata Banerjee has given some advice through this letter. The non-BJP states should come together and decide something to stop the misuse of the Central Investigation Agency. Mamata Banerjee says strategy must be decided. Accordingly, the Leader of the Opposition will now meet in Parliament to discuss the issue, said Sharad Pawar.

Sharad Pawar also commented on the film ‘The Kashmir Files’. When the Kashmiri Pandit was displaced, the BJP led by VP Singh was at the center. Mufti Mohammad was the Home Minister. Everyone knows who was the governor of Kashmir. Today, an attempt is being made to create an issue through the film ‘The Kashmir Files’. BJP does not believe in secularism in the country.

That will not be ignored, said Sharad Pawar. The displacement of Kashmiri Pandits has not been good for the country. But we should forget what happened and see how unity can be maintained in the society, said Sharad Pawar.
