In yet another shocking incident, a female tourist from the United Kingdom was allegedly attacked by a five-member gang near Adimalathura in Kerala’s capital- Thiruvananthapuram. The incident occurred while she was heading to Chowara beach from the hotel, where she was staying.
As per reports, the police complaint was filed by the HR manager of the resort where she was staying. In the complaint, the manager claimed that the gang allegedly tried to sexually abuse the woman and the executive chef.
According to the complaint, the chef came to the rescue of the tourist after seeing she was in trouble, and following that she was allegedly brutally attacked.
As per the complaint, Antony, a taxi driver who was contacted by the woman from Airport– started sending sexual innuendos and bombarding her with calls. When the woman was exiting the resort and moving towards the beach, Antony along with four of his accomplices allegedly tried to physically abuse her.
However, the timely intervention of the executive chef of the hotel where she stayed saved the woman from the assault. The chef was brutally assaulted by the gang.
The cops initially did not register a case, however, after contacting the higher-ups, they took up the case and were later forced to register the case.
