New Delhi: In a case of suspected gang war on the streets of the national capital, a 20-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in southwest Delhi. The incident took place at Khaira Road near Najafgarh on Monday evening.
The suspects intercepted the car of the deceased and opened fire at him leading to his death. The deceased, who is said to be a suspected criminal, has been identified as Tinku Kharab.
According to eyewitnesses, at least 8 to 10 rounds were fired by the assailants. The deceased was alone in the car. Police said eight empty cartridges were recovered from the crime spot, according to a report in Hindustan Times.
The Delhi police suspect that the deceased Kharab was a member of Manjeet Mahal and was murdered over the rivalry with Naidu gang.
Police said they are checking CCTV cameras of the spot and trying to identifying the accused.
