Leaders in jail suffering; Malik have kidney problem, Deshmukh have heart problem and Rana have spondylosis

Leaders of the state, who were arrested on various charges, have fallen ill in jail. Nawab Malik, the state’s minority minister, is suffering from kidney problems. Former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh is suffering from heart ailment and shoulder pain. MP Navneet Rana is suffering from neck and waist and back pain i.e. spondylosis. The three leaders have applied for medical treatment.

Application of Nawab Malik

State Minorities Minister Nawab Malik has applied to the Mumbai Sessions Court for bail for medical reasons. Malik has sought permission for surgery as he is suffering from kidney problems. The ED has opposed Malik’s bail application for medical treatment and will file a reply in the North Court today.

Anil Deshmukh’s application

Former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has filed an application in the Mumbai Sessions Court. Anil Deshmukh has filed an application in the Mumbai Sessions Court seeking permission for surgery due to stomach ache. The application also seeks permission to be treated in a private hospital for medical treatment and to get home meals.

The application states that the treatment facilities in the JJ hospital are less and the treatment should be allowed in a private hospital. The court has called for a report from JJ Hospital and a decision will be taken after receiving the report. The ED has also asked for time to file a reply.

MP Navneet Rana also suffers from back-spondylosis

Amravati MP Navneet Rana is suffering from back pain and low back pain. They already have spondylosis. He has alleged that he was placed on the ground and had to sleep while in judicial custody, which has increased his distress. Prison officials have denied permission for the CT scan.

If anything happens to me, you (prison officer) will be responsible for it. Therefore, Rana’s lawyers have requested the Byculla Jail to provide the necessary medical help immediately.

Navneet Rana is suffering from a bead disease and this problem has been aggravated by sitting on the ground and sleeping for a long time in jail. On the 27th he was admitted to JJ Hospital for treatment. He said that Rana should undergo CT scan there. He repeatedly told the prison authorities about it but ignored it. Navneet Rana underwent CT scan due to unbearable pain.

Officials were negligent about Navneet Rana. Rana has demanded action against the concerned officials through his lawyers. A copy of the letter has been sent to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and the Additional Director General of Police of the state.
