A major fire broke out on the set of TV show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin in Film City, Mumbai on Friday. The fire on the set of the Star Plus show has caused major damage. While there hasn’t been an update on any fatality, sources say that a few people were injured.
A source said that a fire sequence was being shot on the set. Due to an alleged lapse in safety, the fire spread destroying the set.
“The fire happened at around 4:30 pm and in no time spread across the set. While the actors and crew were quickly rescued, the property has been completely damaged. The firefighters arrived but till then the fire had spread all around. We haven’t yet heard about any tragic news and praying that nothing happens,” the source said.
The source added that the Municipal Corporation and the Film City Authorities have already slapped a notice on the producers and director of the show for negligence leading to the fire. “They will also have to pay a hefty penalty.”
