A cabinet meeting was held in Sambhajinagar yesterday in the background of Marathwada Liberation Day. This meeting was held after almost seven years. After this meeting, the state government showered promises on Marathwada. It was also announced that development works worth 45 thousand crores will be done for Marathwada. While this package of the government is being criticized by the opposition, MNS president Raj Thackeray has removed the air of this package. Raj Thackeray has strongly criticized the state government by tweeting.
While celebrating the Marathwada Muktisangram Day, simply celebrating the program as a ‘photo-op’ or coming to Marathwada to feel the benefits of promises cannot be considered as celebrating this day. Marathwada’s struggle for adequate water has been going on for decades, and this time Marathwada region will witness a water crisis in the next few months due to insufficient rainfall.
At such times, one would make promises and others would criticize them and the critics would not think about what exactly they did when they were in power. Raj Thackeray said that if this continues, it is time for the people of Marathwada to ask questions to both of them.
