Two Nepali teen girls gang raped in Balrampur district

In yet another shocking incident of rape, four people were apprehended for allegedly raping two Nepali girls. The minor girls had come to the weekly Manipur Bazar in the border area in Uttar Pradesh’s Balrampur district. The accused have been identified as Ramchandra, Rajendra, Rakesh, and Pintu.
The horrific incident occurred on June 26. The two girls are the resident of Nepal’s Dong district, TOI reported. Superintendent of Police, Balrampur, Rajesh Kumar said the Gangsters Act and the National Security Act will be invoked on the accused.

According to the police, the four accused stopped them on the way and allegedly raped them in a forest. The girls after returning back to their homes narrated the ordeal to their family members.
The investigating team said the families approached the Nepal Police first, which then reached out to the Haraiyya police station. A case was registered and arrests were made on that basis, the SP said.
Further, as per the police, the case will be heard in a fast-track court. Meanwhile, the girls have been sent for medical examination and further investigation is underway.
Recently, in June 2022, a British woman was allegedly raped near the Arambol beach in Goa in front of her male partner by a local man under the pretext of giving her a massage. The accused, identified as Vincent D’Souza, was part of a group that illegally offered massage services near the Arambol beach in North Goa district, which is quite popular with international tourists.
