13-year-old girl abducted by ‘bidi seller’, confined & raped for 21 days, no FIR lodged

A 13-year-old girl was allegedly abducted, raped and confined for 21 days in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Reportedly, an FIR has not been registered for 25 days. The girl’s family has claimed that the local police forced them to sign a paper stating that the teenager was found alone in a room.
The accused has been identified as Abdul Raheem alias Bittu. Raheem, who is a bidi seller, allegedly abducted the teenager on the false pretext of marriage on June 14.
Raheem took the teen to his house in Salarpur where he allegedly confined her. As per the teenager’s father, she was raped several times. Somehow, the teenager managed to call her family on July 3 and shared her location with them. The girl had also alleged that the accused and his relatives were planning to sell her off. The survivor’s father said that they informed the police the next day but to no avail, The Times of India reported. The cops allegedly “forced the family to say they wanted a compromise”. He added, “They kept us at the police station till late and said they would frame us in a false case if we said anything. “
Meanwhile, Harish Chander, DCP (central Noida) said that an FIR will be lodged on Saturday. The girl was sent for a medical examination six days after she was rescued. DCP (woman’s safety) Vrinda Shukla said that the girl’s family had given in writing that they did not want the cops to take action. She added, “The family’s allegations that they were forced to write a statement is a lie.”
