In the Honey trap case, Mumbai Crime branch arrested three of Sapna Vazir’s accomplices while her fourth accomplice Arun Agarwal was arrested from Rajasthan but the crime branch is still searching for Monica who is trying to abscond in this case.
Bandra Police has registered a new FIR, in which the complainant is a jeweller. The complainant told that Sapna Vazir came to his shop and took away jewelery worth 28 lakhs from him posing as a Bollywood celebrity, after that Sapna did not pay the jewellers. Police are looking for other people who supported Sapna Vazir.
Presently, Sapna and her associates have been sent to jail custody by the court but after the registration of this new FIR, the crime branch is going to take the custody of Sapna again. According to the crime branch, this honey trap business of Sapna Wazir has been going on since a long time and she has cheated a lot many people similarly.
Sapna’s plan failed when she tried to extort money from a businessman in Kolhapur. This honeytrap gang, which had collected more than three crores from that businessman, has actually been in contact with many police officers. According to sources, a retired ACP who had served in the crime branch for many years was also a part of this gang.
Sapna, the master mind of the gang, was in contact with the ACP and took his help for her illegal activities. It is said that when Sapna was arrested many years ago in a theft case at DN Nagar police station, where she met the retired ACP. This retired ACP has been closely interrogated by DCP Crime Branch for five hours.
According to sources, Sapna used to run her illegal business in the name of an IPS officer, who died a few years back. In Sapna’s honeytrap case, Crime Branch has interrogated many people and is going to question many more including actors, builders, industrialists, cricket bookie and police officers who were close to Sapna.
Who is Sapna Vazir?
Sapna Wazir is the wife of film actor Prithvi, who worked with many huge bollywood actresses including Divya Bharti and has also been a successful actor herself. Sapna lived in a duplex flat in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala area, it is said that 6 servants were always engaged in her service.
Sapna was very fond of wearing gold jewellery, she used to buy gold and diamond jewelery worth 50 lakh rupees in a month. It is said that just the price of a ring in Sapna’s finger costed 70 lakh rupees. When the crime branch searched her house, jewelery worth 42 lakh rupees was found and the new FIR registered in Bandra also tells about how much Sapna was fond the gold.
Sapna dealt with two big jewelers of Lokhandwala, one Shilpi Jewelers and other jeweler is situated close to Shilpi Jewellers. From these jewelers, the reality of Sapna’s gold dealings could also come to the forefront. It is believed that these two jewelers working for Sapna used to trade jewellery to Sapna illegally without bill because of which the jeweller has been called by the police multiple times. Crime Branch has also questioned Shilpi Jewelers.
Honey Trap’s Modus Operandi
Sapna was very addicted to gambling, it was very likely of her to sit at the table like a queen with 10 -15 lakhs along with her partner Akash Chaudhary, and some dummy casters, the glasses that Akash used to wear would have a transparent glass that could view the cards of other players sitting at the table, thus, Sapna was the one making the ber.
Actually, Sapna would have been playing two games in this single game of cards, apart from the customer playing on the table, there would be some girls connected with Sapna, who would teasingly sit on the lap of these customers, so that the customer would feel like playing then Sapna clicked photos of these customers from her mobile. She later used these photos to blackmail these customers, the ones who refused to give money to Sapna, Sapna would threaten to go to their houses, so that she would defame in front of their whole family.
Sapna used to extort money by threatening to defame people by trapping them in honey trap. Sapna had also done this work with Kolhapur’s Byapari, after which she was arrested. Sapna had two dozen such girls who used to support in her game, out of which there was also Monica Bhagwan whom the crime branch is still looking for. Girls who are managing salons in Lokhandwala and some actresses too, were in touch with Sapna, whom the police are searching for.
Many bookie jewelers have also become victims of Sapna, whom she defeated in the cards and she has even blackmailed them. Sapna used to play this game mostly at her home or in a hotel, so that everyone is comfortable. It has been known from a source that Sapna also cheated a famous singer in Goa a year ago with about one crore rupees. The enquiry is still on going.
