In the latest case in the series of shocking and shameful sexual assault incidents reported in the country, a 13-year-old boy allegedly raped a three-year-old girl after showing her an obscene video clip. The three-year-old girl’s father, in his complaint to the police, stated that on Sunday he left for work while his wife and their minor daughter were at home. Their neighbour’s 13-year-old son allegedly lured the complainant’s daughter to his place while he was alone, according to a report published by The Times of India.

The teenager alleged showed an obscene clip to the minor girl and sexually assaulted her. The girl’s condition deteriorated, following which he dumped her outside her house. Later, bleeding from her genitals was noticed by her mother who then apprised her grandparents of the matter.

The minor girl’s grandparents, who reside nearby, thrashed the teenager. They took the girl to a medical facility for treatment and later dropped her back at her house. The girl’s condition, however, deteriorated again in the night, prompting her mother to ask her father to return from work.

On Monday, the girl’s father approached the police and lodged a complaint against the teenager. A team of police dashed the survivor to the community health centre from where she was referred to the Ursula Hospital. Later, the medics there referred her to Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital, the TOI report stated.

On the basis of the complaint of the girl’s father, the police registered a case and detained the minor accused. After the completion of legal formalities, he will be lodged in a correctional home, a police officer said.
