A man in Rajasthan was allegedly shot dead by an assailant while he was sleeping at his residence. The 30-year-old man, who is a truck driver, was murdered at his home in Armai village of Jaipur rural. Reportedly, a love affair was the reason behind the man’s alleged murder.
The deceased was identified as Bhola Ram. On Friday, Ram took his dinner and went to bed. He was sleeping in one room while his family members were in two different rooms of the house.
At around 1 am on Saturday, the truck driver’s family members woke up when they heard gunshots. Ram’s mother rushed to his room and she was shocked to see his body. Some of the locals alleged that they heard the sound of a bike speeding through the area, soon after they heard the gunshots.
The police were informed about the incident and identified one suspect. As per DSP Kotputli Dinesh Kumar Yadav, the police is close to nabbing the accused. An official privy to the case told The Times of India, “It appears that there was only one shooter, but the accused may have been accompanied by at least one other aide. ”
Probe revealed that the accused barged into the man’s house and shot him on his head at point-blank range. Ram died on the spot. The police suspect that the accused used an illegal weapon to murder the truck driver. As per another official, “We identified the prime suspect who has a criminal record and was arrested in a theft case earlier. We have also learned that the suspect had some tiff with Bhola over the latter’s wife. “
