In a shocking incident reported from Telangana capital Hyderabad, a woman was stabbed by 18 times allegedly by a man after the victim refused to marry him. The accused man is said to be the boyfriend of the woman.
The victim identified as Shirisha has been admitted to a hospital and is said to be in critical condition. The accused has been identified as Basavaraj. The horrible incident took place at a room where the woman was staying under LB Nagar police station in Rachakonda commissionerate of Greater Hyderabad.
The accused Basavaraj was reportedly upset after the woman got engaged to another man two months ago, according to a report in NDTV online.
Both the accused and the victim are residents of Daulatabad area of Vikarabad district. The two were reportedly in a relationship. The police have arrested the accused.
