A shocking incident has come to light in the Wadala area of Mumbai where a grandson killed his grandfather. The young man stabbed the old man in the head with a bamboo stick. A 22-year-old man has been arrested from Navi Mumbai in this case. It is alleged that the grandson killed his grandfather in a dispute over repayment of the loan. Mumbai Crime Branch handcuffed accused grandson after preliminary investigation.
The name of the deceased grandfather is Laxman Kanuji Ghuge. Accused Sushant Ram Satpute had earlier asked his grandfather to return the Rs 3,000 he had taken. It is claimed that Ram, who was sharp as a child, was divorced after his mother’s second marriage.
The accused Sushant Ram Satpute is the grandson of Laxman Kanuji Ghuge. He lives with his parents at Nerul in Navi Mumbai. He is also accused of being addicted to drugs and marijuana. Ram was sent to a drug rehabilitation center a few months back, but his family claimed that he escaped and returned home, “said Shashikant Pawar, senior inspector at the property cell.
Ram had come to his grandfather’s house in Wadala on February 8. He had stayed the night. In the morning, the grandfather asked the grandson to return the money, which led to an argument between the two, police said.
In a fit of rage, Ram picked up the bamboo from the house and struck his grandfather several times on the head. He then locked the house from the outside and passed by the scene.
