A case of rape has been registered against
Bollywood producer Bhushan Kumar
after he was accused of allegedly raping a 30-year-old woman. According to the victim she was abused on the pretext of getting work in the producer’s company. In a statement exclusively with BREAKING BOOM, the victim levies sensational allegations agenst the music baron.
According to the statement given by the victim to the police, she used to work in a database management company. The victim had a desire to work in movies since childhood. In 2017, the victim along with a friend had gone to a five star hotel in Juhu for some company work. That day Bhushan was in the hotel and it was the victims friend who introduced her to him.
“Bhushan Kumar told me that I will give you work in my upcoming film, and then he gave me his mobile number and said that call me and meet me in the office. Bhushan asked me to telegraph that you sent me your’s photos. I will sent him some photos. I spoke to Bhushan through WhatsApp and Telegram app. After that he messaged me on 29 September 2017 and asked to meet in his bungalow. I refused to meet in the bungalow, demanded to meet in the office. Bhushan told me that there are too many people in the office so the meeting will not be held there,” the victim said.
On 14 October 2017, Bhushan took the victim to his bungalow to discuss the film.
“No one else was present at Bhushan’s bungalow only both of us were present in his bungalow. Bhushan started telling me that to get work in films, you have to compromise and you will also have to compromise with me. I refused to compromise. Bhushan took me to the bedroom and he forcibly had physical relations with me,” the victim added.
After the rape, Bhushan threatened the victim by saying that he would make the video of the physical relationship viral on social media. Due to which the victim got scared. Not only this, Bhushan also told that I am a very big man, if you tell anyone about this, I will ruin you.
After that, threatening to make the video of the physical relationship viral, took her to two hotels in the suburb of Mumbai and had raped the victim. After that the victim came in shock and she stopped going out of the house.
The victim thought that not much action would be taken against the big man, and I myself would be defamed.”One day I thought of committing suicide but a friend of mine got me to meet an NCP leader. With their help, an FIR was registered at DN Nagar police station. I trust Mumbai Police, now I hope for justice,” the victim said.
An FIR has been registered against Bhushan Kumar, the Managing Director of T-Series, at Mumbai’s D N Nagar police station after a model claimed that she was allegedly raped by Kumar on the pretext of giving her a job in one of his upcoming projects. Police confirmed the development. ‘A case of rape under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). We are still investigating the matter,” said senior police inspector Bhart Gaykowad of DN Nagar police station.
Now, an official statement has been released by T-Series regarding this matter.
“The complaint filed against Mr. Bhushan Kumar is completely false and malicious and the contents of the same are denied. It has been falsely alleged that the lady in question was sexually exploited between 2017 to 2020 on the pretext of giving her work. It is a matter of record that she has already worked for T-Series banner in Film and music videos,” the statement reads.
