India’s Harnaaz Sandhu is the new Miss Universe 2021! This is a big, big moment for the country because Harnaaz has brought home the crown after 21 years. It was Lara Dutta who had won the title last in 2000.
A video of the 21-year-old beauty queen after she won the coveted crown has been doing the rounds of the internet for a very special reason. In the viral video, the elated Chandigarh-based model was seen shouting out “Chak de phatte, India” after winning the title. The video was posted on Miss Universe’s official Twitter handle and has over 51k views already.
In the now-viral video, Harnaaz Sandhu was seen shouting out loud extremely happy after making the country proud. She is surrounded by other women who had participated in the Miss Universe beauty pageant as well. “Chak de phatte, India,” she said out loud in the video.
