An unidentified assailant broke into a house in the Nalasopara area and attacked the husband and wife. Tulinj police have registered a case in this regard and are searching for the accused. Amit Mishra and his wife Jyoti, a resident of Nalasopara East Santosh Bhuvan area, were sleeping in their house at midnight on Saturday when an unidentified Isma entered the house and carried out a deadly attack.
Husband and wife were injured and his condition is critical. Both are undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Giving information in this regard, Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Kamble of Tulinj Police Station informed that Ashish and Jyoti are originally from Uttar Pradesh and they got married eight months ago.
He had come to stay at Santosh Bhuvan Bavshet Pada eight days ago. On Saturday, while they were asleep, an ISM broke down the door of the house and stabbed them in the neck with a sharp weapon. Both were injured.
They are undergoing treatment. The wife’s condition is critical. Neighbours have seen the accused fleeing the house. From that, the police have got the preliminary information of the accused.
