Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar today held a press conference and appealed to all citizens to take care against the backdrop of the corona outbreak.
The mayor said, yesterday the Chief Minister, Education Minister appreciated the decision to close the school. “It’s a good decision to close the actual school class. The increasing number of corona patients is a matter of concern. Restrictions have been imposed considering the concern. Citizens should have taken two doses,” she said.
She further said that Shiv Sena has canceled two programs to avoid crowds. Bandra’s fair show is closed. Uddhav Thackeray has taken charge as the party chief and chief minister. She also appealed to other parties, saying that the leaders of other parties should also understand these things.
“The Chief Minister has taken the initiative to ensure that our workers as well as the people are not killed. Ajit Dada also said yesterday that I will come to the function only if there is 50% attendance. So be careful not to become a super spreader.”
She further said that the commissioner himself is keeping an eye on everything. As a corporation, our focus is. The lockout is unavoidable, because now everyone is awake. But everyone decided to follow the rules, if Corona was stopped, there would be no lockout. But if the number goes above 20,000, then the rules given by the center will be fulfilled, informed Mayor Kishori Pednekar.
