In first class of local train in Mumbai, without ticket woman beats TC for asking for fine

Local train is the lifeline of Mumbaikars. Every day lakhs of commuters travel through this locality for work. A shocking case has come to light that a young woman on Monday,  fighting with a TC in Mumbai local train.

The incident took place during the Churchgate-Goregaon local journey on the Western Railway line. A young woman touched TC’s collar and also beat her. After the TC asked for the ticket, it came to light that the angry young woman had done this act, which shocked all the passengers. In this case, the accused girl was detained by the police. But due to this incident, the question of safety of TCs has come to the fore.

According to the police that around 5 pm, a young woman boarded the local first class coach heading towards Goregaon from Churchgate. As soon as Dadar station arrived, two women boarded the TC coach and started checking passengers’ tickets and passes. But the said young lady did not have a first class ticket, so a TC asked her to pay the fine. Then the accused girl refused to pay the fine and started arguing with the TC. The argument escalated and the enraged young woman grabbed the TC by her collar and beat and punched her.

As this young woman became violent, the women passengers around tried to stop her. Also they pulled the chain and stopped the local. After that for some time between Mahim and Bandra station this local was broken. After reaching Bandra local railway station, the accused girl was dropped by TC and taken to Lohmarg police station. The police have taken her into custody and the process of filing a case was going on till late night.
