Lonavla Rural Police has done a commendable job of rescuing a 17-year-old victim girl abducted from Orissa state from Navlakh Umbre in Maval.
According to the Lonavala Rural Police, a 17-year-old girl abducted from Simulia Police Station, Thane, Orissa, was kept in a room at Navlakh Umbre within the limits of Talegaon Dabhade Police Station in Maval.
Immediately, the Lonavla police reached Navlakh Umbre on the basis of the first Mobile Tower Location, with the help of the locals, traced the girl and took her into custody from a locked room.
Under the guidance of Lonavla Sub-Divisional Police Officer Rajendra Patil, the victim girl was produced before the Child Welfare Committee and is currently being kept safe at Chaitanya Mahila Ashram, Moshi. The incident was reported to the concerned police station in Orissa and further investigation is being carried out by Lonavala police.
