A woman in Mawana town of Meerut district has alleged that she was raped by her friend’s husband. Meanwhile, Mawana police have filed a case against the accused following the intervention of Meerut SSP Prabhakar Chaudhary.
The victim has also alleged that the accused also shot an obscene video of her after the alleged rape.
The woman in her complaint to police stated that she used to go for walks with her friend, the wife of the accused. One day, her friend was not at her home. Her husband invited her to the house for tea, according to a report in Hindi daily Hindustan.
The woman claimed the accused drugged her and then raped her at his house. The woman also alleged that the accused also shot her obscene video and then repeatedly blackmailed her.
She said the local did not file a case despite her repeated complaints. Later, the woman approached Meerut SSP who ordered police to file a case into the incident.
In a similar incident, a mentally-ill woman was allegedly raped inside a parked bus in Kozhikode district of Kerala. The crime came to light when the 21-year-old girl came back to her home after the assault and narrated her ordeal to her parents. The alleged incident took place in Kozhikode’s Chevayur on Sunday.
The accused were identified as Gopish and Mohammed Shameer. Both the accused are from Kunnamangalam. A third man reportedly named Indresh also raped the woman on Sunday evening.
