In yet another shocking incident, a Mumbai couple was arrested in Kolkata for allegedly raping a woman and blackmailing her of leaking the videos of the horrific act. The accused were arrested from a hotel in the New Market region of Kolkata. The arrested accused have been identified as Syed Yousuf Jamal and his wife Naaz Syed.
Following their appearance in front of a local court, the couple is being transported to Mumbai on transit remand.
The event was brought to light after the woman filed a complaint with the Nagpara police station in Mumbai, stating that Yousuf used to rape her in front of his wife while Naaz videotaped the whole thing.
If she reported the crime to the police, the couple threatened to post videos of the act on the internet. The woman further claimed in her complaint that the couple blackmailed her and collected over Rs 1.5 crore from her. The complainant claimed that the couple also practised black magic.
The lady broke her silence after the couple threatened to do the same thing to her daughter, police said. On Saturday evening, they were arrested by the police.
A senior police officer told that the Mumbai police wanted help from us and we cooperated with them.
