A BSF jawan, who was on holiday, died in an accident on Lasalgaon-Manmad road. His name is Ramesh Mhatarba Gunjal and he was cremated at Raipur in Chandwad taluka.
Ramesh Gunjal was on duty in Rajasthan. However, he came to his village Raipur in Chandwad taluka for vacation. After that, Gunjal along with his wife and two children had left for Manmad on a two-wheeler to visit relatives. However, on Tuesday evening, a car coming from Manmad to Lasalgaon hit his two-wheeler near Bharatnagar (rent) village. As a result, Ramesh Gunjal, a jawan on a two-wheeler, was seriously injured.
Gunjal was treated at Manmad and admitted to Malegaon. However, he died during treatment. His wife and injured children are undergoing treatment at Malegaon. Gunjal had joined the BSF seventeen years ago as a jawan. His death has caused a great deal of controversy. He was cremated in a mournful atmosphere at Raipur today.
In another incident in Lasalgaon, a tractor overturned and injured a laborer. A truck and a motorcycle had met with an accident in front of Axis Bank on Lasalgaon Vinchur Road. A motorcyclist was killed on the spot. The truck was parked on the side of the road at the time. However, at around 2 pm on Wednesday, the tanker overtook the truck and hit a tractor loaded with bricks. As a result, the tractor driver lost control.
