NCB officer Sameer Wankhede finally replaced

Controversial NCB divisional director Sameer Wankhede, who has been stirring up politics in vertical Maharashtra for the past few days, has finally been transferred to the DRI department. Wankhede’s tenure in NCB is over. So they have been sent to their previous DRI, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence.

From 2008 to 2021, Wankhede served as Deputy Commissioner of the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU), Additional SP of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Joint Commissioner of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and Divisional Director of the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB). Wankhede was transferred to NCB in 2020. However, his term ended. Even then, lobbying to keep them in the NCB continues.

A senior BJP leader is trying to do so, an allegation raised by resin minister and NCP leader Nawab Malik. However, the news that Wankhede has finally been transferred has come to light today. Wankhede got the job by submitting bogus caste documents. Many allegations were made by Nawab Malik that he hid his religion. However, Wankhede denied all the allegations.

Sameer Wankhede raided a party on Cordelia Cruise and arrested Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and eight others. There was a big controversy after the arrest of Aryan Khan. Nawab Malik, the minority minister of Maharashtra and national spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), had accused Sameer Wankhede that the Aryan Khan case was a case of forgery and ransom. The controversy also erupted over the witnesses in the Aryan Khan case. Since then, the politics of Maharashtra has been in turmoil.
