Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, on Thursday, once again tried to strike a personal chord with his voters and said that ‘only a family man’ can understand the ‘pain of each member of the family’. Yadav slammed the opposition for ‘defaming him for dynasty politics’, a day after he reiterated his ‘chillamjeevi‘ remark against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that people who ‘do not have family can’t feel the pain of the public’.

“Politicians in power have always defamed me for dynastic politics but I just want to say this to all of you that only a family man can understand the pain of each and every member of the family,” Yadav said during his rally in Lalitpur.

This is not the first time Akhilesh Yadav has mounted an attack on Yogi Adityanath. On Wednesday, while speaking at the ‘Samajwadi Vijay Yatra’ in Mahoba, Yadav made an indirect reference to Yogi Adityanath, a bachelor, as ‘chillamjeevi‘.

“Only family people understand the pain and sorrow of the family men. Those who do not have a family, will not care for you. Those who run the government today, cannot understand the pain of the family people,” he said.

Yadav’s comments have irked the Sadhus in the state, who have demanded an apology from the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Akhilesh Yadav has also launched a scathing attack on the BJP’s ‘Damdaar Sarkar’ slogan and questioned why the jobs that were promised to teachers in the state have not been created in 2.5 years. “Can a Baba chief minister operate a laptop,” he repeated the jibe he had made previously.
