Former Mumbai Police Commissioner and senior IPS officer Param Bir Singh is likely to be suspended today for “indiscipline and other irregularities”, sources said.

According to sources in the Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has signed the suspension file and the order is likely to be released today.
The Maharashtra government has accepted IAS officer Debashish Chakraborty’s report on Param Bir Singh. Chakraborty had conducted an inquiry against Singh for violation of All India Civil Service Rules.The Maharashtra Home department had conducted a departmental inquiry against Param Bir Singh for administrative lapses.
