It has been revealed that a high profile youth has been threatened and demanded money. Malvani Police have arrested three accused in the case. Police said that all of them were having relations with gay people. According to the police, he used to have an immoral relationship with the youth by chatting through the Grindr gay app. A case has been registered against three of them following a complaint by a concerned high profile youth.
Police said that after downloading the Grinder app, complete information has to be filled in it. It then includes the details of all the gay children in the area. Then they communicate with each other in areas where they are located. Relevant youths also kept in touch with each other through this app. It was like a chat and then an immoral relationship.
Malwani Sub-Inspector of Police Hasan Mulani said that on the night of January 17, a high-profile boy came in contact with the accused through a ‘gay app’ and after chatting online for a few days, the accused called him to meet him. When the victim youth went to visit them, the accused started demanding to have an immoral relationship with 5 youths,
When the youth refused to do so, the accused beat him. His iPhone, debit card, cash were snatched. Made a nude video of the youth, threatened to go viral on social media and started demanding Rs 50,000 in the name of deleting the video.
After the incident, the youth had lodged a complaint against the accused at Malvani police station. Police have arrested three accused in the case and are searching for their other two accomplices.

- Imran Safiq Sheikh (age 20)
