A 35-year-old transgender was arrested by police who busted a trafficking racket and rescued five women from Nehru Nagar locality in suburban Vile Parle, an official said.

However, the police are now interrogating the eunuchs as to how many days the accused had been doing business of sex racket. The police suspect that the accused may have also supplied some minor girls in this sex racket.
Police sources say that there are some women brokers who used to supply the girl to the accused transgender. The police has now started looking for those women touts.
The accused used to push women into prostitution work for money, he said. A case was registered under the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA), the official added.
