Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray will attend Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park on March 17, party MP Sanjay Raut announced on Wednesday.
“The March 17 rally is of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). The Shiv Sena (UBT) will welcome Rahul Gandhi on the soil of Veer Savarkar. Uddhav Thackeray will attend the rally,” Raut said. Raut and other Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders are in Nashik to welcome Rahul, whose Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will enter the district on Wednesday.
Rahul’s visit to Maharashtra comes at a time when the Opposition MVA alliance in the state has struggled to finalise its seat-sharing ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, allegedly due to a lack of coordination between the Congress and the Shiv Sena (UBT).
All the Opposition voices must come together to save the country, Raut said. The Maha Vikas Aghadi is likely to sound the poll bugle at the rally in Dadar’s Shivaji Park.
