As per reports, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Katghar police station on Wednesday. The six-year-old girl was playing outside her house. The accused, identified as Pankaj (40), took her to his house under the pretext of giving her a head massage and tried to sexually assault her.

Meanwhile, the girl’s family sprang up in a search for her, as she didn’t come back home after a considerable time. Later, the minor was found at Pankaj’s house. “We barged into the man’s house where he was caught naked. He had also undressed our daughter who was crying as he was trying to force himself on her,” a report by The Times of India quoted the girl’s family as saying.
