In a shocking case of suicide, a 36-year-old woman ended her life allegedly after having a heated argument with her husband. On Saturday, the couple had a quarrel, as the wife was furious with her husband for not stitching her blouse according to her liking, the police said.
The deceased woman has been identified as Vijayalakshmi, who was a resident of Thirumala Nagar at Amberpet in Hyderabad. She lived with her husband and had two children. Her husband was a tailor who made his livelihood by selling blouses and sarees which he stitched.
On Saturday, Vijayalakshmi was found hanging from her bedroom at her residence, a report published in the New Indian Express said.
Her husband had stitched a blouse which she did not like, so she requested her husband to restitch it for her. The tailor husband refused to restitch the blouse. He removed all the stitches from the blouse instead of stitching according to her will. This infuriated her and she locked herself in the bedroom.
After Vijayalakshmi’s children returned from the school, they looked for their mother, but she was not found anywhere. The children saw the bedroom locked, so they knocked several times, but there was no response.
Vijayalakshmi’s husband Srinivas rushed to their house and knocked on the door several times. Srinivas opened the door forcefully and saw his wife hanging dead.
Police have not recovered any suicide note and a case of suspicious death has been registered.
