A witch doctor in Gujarat allegedly asked a childless woman to have sex with him when she sought his blessings for having a child. The 28-year-old woman alleged that the accused’s brothers abused her at her residence. When the woman approached the police, the accused’s three brothers allegedly thrashed her husband.
In her complaint, the woman stated that she got married around eight years ago but was unable to conceive a child. The woman then started resorting to remedies to become a mother.
On the advice of her friends, the woman went to a witch doctor named Imtiyaz and asked for help. On August 7, Imtiyaz went to the woman’s house to help her. The accused allegedly told the woman that she would have to have sex with someone else to bear a child.
The woman alleged, “He further told me to come with him to a hotel to have sex so that I would become the mother of a child. ” Subsequently, the woman narrated her ordeal to her family members and they approached the police, The Times of India reported.
Reportedly, the police turned a deaf ear to the woman’s complaint and did not act against the accused. Following this, the accused’s three brothers allegedly went to the woman’s house and abused her. When the woman’s husband tried to intervene, the trio allegedly assaulted him.
After the assault, the woman called the Vejalpur police and lodged a complaint alleging sexual harassment, causing hurt and criminal intimidation against Imtiyaz and his three associates.
